Sorry

Hello Everyone

So sorry that this is not only a late post but once you read this there will be no real purpose besides to tell you sorry. I will however post something next Saturday. I have just so much going on at the moment and frankly, i have no clue what to write. Also since i am writing this to say it bluntly for myself as a side project so to speak i don't want to have to feel pressured on having to stick to a "strict" schedule.  Next week however i will have something up.

'Not A Resolution' Resolution

Hello everyone,

I'm back again so I'm going to officially change it to posting only on Saturdays around 12:15 or so PST due to homework and frankly I just have no time. Anyway by the time you see this i'll be at my dads house so I decided to do just a quick post, nothing too fancy. I know I'm far too late on the bandwagon for creating a post about My 2014 Resolutions so I decided instead to just make little goals along the way.

1. My first goal was to be more organized. As I'm transitioning to collage where the work load is far more packed I need to be more organized by making lists and keeping better tack of things. I plan on getting little notebooks and planners to keep all my things in. 
2. I also Want to get my drivers license and get a job. Just some personnel goals that I have been neglecting to do. 
3. Eating Healthy has always been on my list and as cliche as that sounds I really do want to cut back on some types of foods and so far I have successfully given up beef. I know that cutting back or just giving up something entirely is hard and not everyone does it but once again this is just a goal that I have chosen. 

So those were a couple little goals (or Resolutions if you want to call it) that I'm going to try to stick to. What are some goals or a resolution that you set for yourself? Is their something I should try? Do you prefer longer posts or short posts like this one? Let me know Either in the comments or on tumblr the link is below. Hope You guys liked it and hopefully I didn't bore you to death.

My Winter Must Haves

Hello everyone, 

For this next posts I had some ideas bouncing around but i didn't get the idea for this one until I stopped thinking about it so much.Looking out my window the snow has covered just about everything there is about 17 inches of snow that has dropped since last night, and i thought a good idea to incorporate the weather (even if where you are the weather is different) is to share with you some things to keep you warm during the Winter/Fall.

1. Hats, Scarves and things.

- Beanies (neutral colors like white or black, a Maroon or a Forest Green would suffice as well)

- Mittens/Gloves

- Big Furry Hat (For really cold days i like to wear this kind of hat plus it's adorable)

- Wool/Long Socks (These go great with black or brown boots or just to wear around the house so your feet are cold on the wood floors)

- Knitted or a Big Scarf (Scarves could be used as a great pop of color with a plain black or white coat or you could just get neutral colors with a 'busy' outfit)

         2. Sweaters and Tops

- Fitted Sweater (this is good with black skinny jeans and a coat)

- Over sized/Chunky Sweater (one of my favorite things about winter is that you get to wear sweaters and they can be big and loose)

- Collared Sweaters/ Tops (I like mixing patterns and getting regular sweaters but then put a collared flannel underneath sometimes you can get sweaters that already have it with the flannel underneath)

- Tops (get a short {or if you prefer a long} sleeve top and put it underneath a sweater to create layers and make it more comfy and warm)

 3. Denim

- Long sleeve collared Top (this goes great as a layer under or over sweaters and tops. I normally look in the men's  section just because It's bigger and the material In my opinion is better)

- Long Dungarees (or overalls, are a great and comfy option for wanting to dress casual)

- Light/Dark Skinny Jeans (also good for the summer or you could wear black skinny jeans; which i currently wear practically everyday) 

4. Black

-Tights (Black tights *top left* are good with a dress or a skirt and wedges or boots for a somewhat dressed up look. You could also make it more casual by adding a wool coat with a navy/maroon or a green Pinny dress/Pinafore and white converse.)

- Collared Long-sleeve Tops (These are great paired with a cream wool coat or a colorful coat)

- Back Trousers ( one of my favorite words- Trousers. These are good with oxfords and a long-sleeve top. I like them because their super comfy)

- Leather/Bomber Jacket (Leather is good for all the seasons and bomber jacks are great for the winter because they look just like a leather jacket but their lining is more plush so their warm and comfortable)

 5. Coats and Jackets.

 - Safari Jacket (I think these are good for every season If you wear it right)
- Black/Cream Colored Wool Coat (can be dressed up or down)
- Hoodies/Faux lamb lining jackets (Warm and you can put them under a wool coat for layering)

6. Sweats

-Flannel (Don't forget to get comfy clothes for lazy days)

- Sweats

- Long Sleeve Tops (great for layering)

okay so I know I'm a bit behind but I think I'm going to have to change to only blogging Saturdays but I'm not sure yet I am still ironing out some things.

5 Fashion Related Things I Have Been Loving

Hello Everyone,

 I'm back for a another post. By the time you read this It'll be February 1st! I can't believe time has flown by that quickly. Before typing this I was having so much difficulty with blogger. I think It Is safe to say my laptop was getting close to being thrown out the window. However, I collected myself and thought no Lauren I'm sure the neighbors won't like seeing a laptop thrown out the window. Anyways getting back on track- I had said in My First Blog Posts that I was going to talk about whatever popped into my head and since I have been hooked on fashion recently I thought today's post should be something along those lines so here are 5 things that I've been loving that I have managed to fit under the Fashion category in someway.  

1. So the first thing on my list is the e.l.f. eyes lips face pallet. This is a cute compact pallet to carry anywhere and its neutral tones so it could go with really any outfit. I love the colors and once tried to do a smokey eye look with some of the swatches. I  had paired it with an over sized knitted light brown jumper and some black skinny jeans, but like I said their neutral tones so they could go with anything.

2. The second thing that I've worn recently are colored lipsticks. I just got into lipsticks about a year or two ago and before the idea of colored lipsticks or lipsticks in general was daunting to me. I wasn't very brave to wear them. You might be wondering why in world lipstick would scare me but its a scary product if you've never considered it before. But now I've broken out of my shell and have ventured out in the world of beauty. I love these lipsticks because their a) bold and b) perfect for the colder weather. 

   

     (This is the BABY LIPS 'strike A Rose' by Maybelline New York. 

    This moisturizes while adding some color to your lips. I like to wear

   this if  i'm going to school or out 'n about and don't feel like 

   re-applying lipstick every time it smudges.)

 

   (This is by NARS and it's called 'Shanghai Express'. 

     I love wearing this if I am going out with friends or to 

        dinner. It's a deep red color that goes well with any skin tone.)

 

      (This is by REVLON in the shade 'Rum Raisin'. This is a 

         red-ish brown and is absolutely perfect for the Winter/Fall.)

3. Two words Nail. Polish. I am going through this weird faze where I paint my nails all the time. Is that weird? I'm not sure. I have at least a full tub of nail polishes- some that i haven't even opened yet and somehow I always go out and buy more. Here are just  a few I have worn recently.

Ciate 'Ivory Queen'

NARS 'Dovima' 

(A Christmassy mate red. 

Ignore the awkward smudges)

e.l.f. 'Mode Mauve' 

  (This is a mate color as well and It's kind of 

   a brown-ish purple though it may not look like it)

Color Club 

  (It doesn't have a name because I had gotten in a

    pack of twelve at a Drug store but you can look 

  for a color close to it. It's a cranberry-red)

4. Another thing that I have been loving are Oxfords. I got these at a Nordstrums Rack so their not the original Oxfords but their close and their pretty comfortable. And as you can see I have used these several times. 

5. When I was thinking about the fifth thing that I have been loving I was starting to run out of ideas. Sure There were other things but none were fashion related. Then I realized I was neglecting the one thing that I have been wearing since my friend had picked it out one day. My heart-shaped Necklace. I had gotten this necklace at Old Navy so It is not expensive and Its simple - not too over the top. I wear this with really everything.
